Livonia, MI (August 6, 2001) – Co-op Services Credit Union will mail $7,000 in scholarship funds this month to the designated colleges and universities of eight outstanding students from the Detroit metropolitan area. Co-op Services, a Livonia-based credit union, has donated a total of $49,000 since its scholarship program began in 1995. Scholarships are awarded in levels from $500 for one year and up to $4,000 for four years. Students who receive renewable scholarships are required to maintain academic standards. Co-op Services President and CEO Bob Huston says, "Providing scholarships to such outstanding credit union member-scholars is a highlight of each year." of Redford (Detroit Catholic Central ’98), Kristin Naragon
of Grosse Ile (Grosse Ile High School ’99), Lauren Mardirdsian
of Grosse Pointe Park (Grosse Pointe South High School ‘00),
and Arvena Washington of Detroit (Bishop Gallagher High School
