Scholarship Winners
Livonia, MI (Mar. 18, 2002)
Co-op Services Credit Union recently announced the
winners of five college scholarships awarded annually to outstanding
high school seniors (02) who are also credit union members.
Co-op Services Credit Union, headquartered
in Livonia, has donated a total of $56,000 since its scholarship
program began in 1995.
Scholarships are awarded in levels
from $500 for one year and up to $4,000 for four years. Students
who receive renewable scholarships are required to maintain academic
standards.
Scholarship winners and their families
were recognized at Co-op Services Credit Unions annual meeting
on March 7, 2002. Bob Huston, the credit union president and CEO
said, "Each year we are extremely impressed with the number
of talented students who apply from the Detroit metropolitan area."
Receiving a $4,000 renewable scholarship
is Matthew Nielsen of Walled Lake (Walled Lake Western High School).
Winners of the $1,000 scholarships are Livonia residents Danielle
Clinton (Stevenson High School) and Lindsay Sgriccia (Franklin
High School). Robyn Kuula of Redford (Redford Union High School)
and Courtney Busch of Walled Lake (Walled Lake Western High School)
will receive $500 scholarships.
Co-op Services Credit Union has more
