Services Credit Union staff raise funds for Childrens Miracle
Network
Livonia,
MI (Jan. 7, 2002) Co-op Services Credit Union
staff raised more than $3,500 during 2001 for Childrens Miracle
Network (CMN), a non-profit organization that provides health care
for children through local hospitals.
Staff of
Co-op Services Credit Union participated by paying a dollar to dress
casually once a week. The funds are used for Childrens Miracle
Network which is a recipient of the "Credit Unions for Kids"
program and is supported by the Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL).
Michigan credit
unions are encouraged to raise funds for children in their communities
and for CMN hospitals. In southeastern Michigan, William Beaumont
Hospital is one of 170 CMN-affiliated hospitals throughout North
America.
Angie Krogol,
senior vice president of Member Services for Co-op Services Credit
Union, was recently appointed to chair MCULs Childrens
Miracle Network Committee. She reports that including their staffs
2001 contribution, Co-op Services Credit Union has given more $13,400
to CMN during the past three years.
Co-op Services
President and CEO Bob Huston says, "Childrens Miracle
Network is one of many fine community-based programs that we support
to demonstrate the credit union philosophy of people helping
people."
