Federal to Co-Sponsor WOMC Radio Celebrity Jackie Purtan for Story
Time at Area Libraries during National Reading Month
Plymouth,
MI (Feb. 25, 2002) – Community Federal Credit Union has announced
that it will co-sponsor radio celebrity Jackie Purtan, of Purtan’s
People on WOMC (104.3 FM), for a weekly story time at area libraries
during National Reading Month in March.
Purtan
will read stories for children, ages kindergarten – 2nd
grade, each Tuesday afternoon in March, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at
area libraries. She will visit the following libraries beginning
on Tuesday, March 5, 1200 S. Canton Center Rd. Canton; March 12,
223 S. Main, Plymouth; March 19, 45245 W. 10 Mile Rd., Novi; March
26, 212 W. Cady, Northville. Credit Union President Roger Ballard
notes, "We have maintained a strong commitment to education
and literacy in the communities where our members live and work.
We are proud to co-sponsor this event with WOMC to benefit children
during National Reading Month."
