Dearborn Chamber of Commerce to hold Fund-Raising Auction on Friday, Nov. 9 DEARBORN, Mich. (Nov. 2, 2001)-- The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual fund-raising auction at Dearborn’s new Ford Community and Performing Arts Center on Friday, Nov. 9, 2001. All ticket holders will receive a free raffle ticket for a fabulous grand prize drawing of two round trip airline tickets courtesy of Worry Free Vacations and Passageways Travel/Carlson Wagonlit and $500 cash. Ticket holders can bid on a wide variety of valuable and exotic items that will be on display at the Center, located at the southwest intersection of Michigan Avenue and Greenfield Road. Auction sponsors are inviting the public to attend. Major "International" sponsors include Mayor Michael A. Guido, American Arab Chamber of Commerce, Community Bank of Dearborn, Davenport University, Dearborn Federal Credit Union, Dearborn Federal Savings Bank, Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford Medical Center, Les Stanford Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Chevrolet dealerships and the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The auction will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are available for $30 each in advance or at the door. Foods representing a variety of tastes from around the world will be provided along with a cash bar.
