Mr. Nemeths
practice areas include tax and financial controversy and governmental
regulation, in addition to general tax and litigation matters.
Prior to joining Raymond & Prokop, P.C., he served as Senior
Trial Attorney for the District Counsel of the Internal Revenue
Service and as Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Department
of Justice.
In addition
to his affiliation with the State Bar, Nemeth is four-time chair
of the Federal Bar Association Taxation Section. He is an adjunct
professor of tax at Michigan State University-Detroit College
of Law.
A frequent
writer and lecturer on procedural and substantive tax matters,
Mr. Nemeth has served as editor of the publication "Michigan
Tax Lawyer"
Mr. Nemeth
earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, his
Juris Doctor from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State
University and his Master of Laws at Wayne State University.
He serves
as a Major in the Judge Advocate Generals Corp. United States
Army Reserve and is a resident of Livonia.
