Edsel Ford
II will speak at Business Recognition Awards luncheon
Dearborn, MI
(October 9, 2003) The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce will
honor Ford Motor Company with its annual business recognition award
at a luncheon on November 19, 2003 at the Hyatt Regency-Dearborn.
Edsel Ford II will receive the award on behalf of Ford and will speak
on the subject of corporate responsibility. Lear Corporation is the
presenting sponsor for the event.
" Even if this were
not Ford's 100th anniversary, the company would be most worthy
of this recognition," said event committee chairman Andrew
Mazzara, president of Henry Ford Community College. " We are
delighted that Henry Ford's great grandson will join us to
accept the Chamber's tribute, once again demonstrating the
commitment of the company and the family to the city of Dearborn."
Other
companies and organizations that have joined Lear Corporation in sponsoring
the
awards luncheon are the University of Michigan–Dearborn, Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Siemens VDO Automotive, Young and
Rubicam, and Standard Federal Bank. Sponsorship opportunities are
still available. Businesses that join the Chamber in honoring Ford
Motor Company will receive tickets to the luncheon and recognition in
Chamber publications, regional advertising and at the event.
Luncheon tickets are $50
each. For information regarding sponsorship packages or to purchase
tickets, please call 313-584-6100 or visit www.dearbornchamber.org.
