Co-op
Services Credit Union staff raises money for Summer Dreams Program
Livonia, MI
(Aug. 26, 2002) Co-op Services Credit Union staff recently
raised $350 for the Summer Dreams Program to benefit children
through the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation.
Staff
of Co-op Services Credit Union participated by paying a minimum
of two dollars each to dress casually one day during the summer.
As a gesture of appreciation, the credit union served staff a
free pizza lunch at each of its five locations.
The staff
donations are to be matched by Free Press Charities which also
supports the Summer Dreams Program. The DHDC program includes
community service projects, life skills training, mentoring, recreational
services and other activities for at-risk children.
"Our staff
has a long history of generously supporting programs in the communities
where our members live and work," said Angie Krogol, the credit
unions senior vice president of Member Services.
